BALI PLUS Magazine December 2015
It’s December! The most wonderful time of the year… and here we remain, on this paradise island that we love dearly, where many call home or want to call home. Some say this island is over-cooked, that it’s overrun with tourists and had lost its mystic, but really, Bali has just evolved. It transformed from a low-key surfer hangout to one of the world’s most sought-after holiday destinations – but its charm remains, stronger than ever. Bali continues to have a huge appeal; a magnet for the creative soul, tourists and business moguls, and its potential keeps growing. This beautiful island and the beautiful Balinese people, its vibe, culture, history and breathtaking natural attractions are what makes it the world’s number one destination for honeymooners, holidaymakers and those seeking for peace and happiness. And so to end the year, we give thanks and gratitude to the island of Bali, for the opportunities it has given us, and to the Balinese people who have welcomed us all with open arms and to everyone else who has in any way played a part making it a fantastic year for us all.
As we bid goodbye to 2015 we gear up to celebrate the coming of 2016 with nothing less than splendid pomp and grandeur. Bali is at its best when adorned with beautiful people celebrating love and life, and in this issue, we’ll show you the best places to visit. So put on your most sparkling smiles and delight in spectacular culinary experiences, lavish parties, luxurious stays and outstanding pampering. We’re certainly not short of choices; so to help you decide, check out our Review Pages for Christmas Lunch, Dinners and New Year’s Eve parties and promotions at KU DE TA, Mozaic Beachclub, TAPA Bistro and The Seminyak Beach Resort and Spa. Don’t forget our Party Agenda page for a list of all that’s hot and happening in December! If you’re just hungry from all the planning and craving for Chinese food, our ultimate recommendation is Happy Chappy’s. Here is where you’ll find real good Chinese food that is second to none! Also another favourite of ours is Ryoshi, if you’re craving for Japanese. And for beach treats and cocktails, head on down to Sandbar at Kuta Beach and our newest favourite rooftop hangout, The Shack at Dash Hotel Seminyak. Something for the whole family to enjoy? Take a look at Bali Safari and Marine Park and Waterbom Bali. Of course, nothing beats a luxurious pampering treat at the opulent Prana Spa.
