BALI PLUS Magazine October 2015
In this issue, we the team at BaliPlus would like to give a huge shoutout to all of our 30,000 (the numbers are growing every month!) readers. We are delighted to announce that in addition to our English and Japanese versions, we now have a Mandarin version for our Chinese readers!
The whole point of this much beloved biggest little guidebook is to literally GUIDE you the best, chic-iest, trendiest and most sought after venues and events across the island. We understand that over 27%% of visitors to Bali are Chinese, and we are glad that now we’re able to guide you to the best that Bali has to offer - in your mother tongue.
So this month, here’s what we have for you, tried, tested and proven. Bali is a great culinary destination where you can have everything from great value meals to the finest fine dining. These outlets are a must try! We personally tried them and we can’t wait to go back for more - TAPA Bistro in Nusa Dua, Mint Terrace in Petitenget, timeless Italian classics at ilLido Bali and, at Mozaic Beach Club, its to-die-for Textures of Chocolate dessert.
We’re also focusing on health and wellbeing, which we found at SOHAM Wellness Centre in its wide variety of spa offering including massages, body treatments and facials. And for a one-stop-solution in beauty treatments, aesthetics and dental, take a look at ULTIMO Aesthetic & Dental Centre.
Amidst our monthly romp, we came across some treasures within the heart of Legian, perfect for an afternoon of relaxation or for a getaway. See our reviews for Poppies Cottages in Poppies Lane and SKAI Beach Club, the newest outlet at the serenely elegant Padma Resort. Talking about beach clubs, KU DE TA is also on our list and for a great family getaway; Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel is your answer.
While you’re in Bali, think about giving back to the underprivileged, so why not have fun for a good cause? On October 16, The Westin Nusa Dua is hosting the UNICEF Check Out For Children Charity Concert featuring Indonesian stars, Citra Scholastika and Bastian Steel. Tickets are priced at only IDR 150,000 per person and proceeds will be donated directly to UNICEF for a project that provides educational opportunities and vaccination for children across the Asia Pacific region.
We hope what we have for you this month will add to your good times in Bali. Feel free to visit our website for more helpful tips and reviews at www. baliplus.com and tag us in your holiday photos on Instagram. Follow us at @baliplus.
